The Japan Institute of Design Promotion, the GOOD DESIGN AWARD, announced the Award winners for 2022 on October 7.
The organization selected a total of 1,560 award-winning works following the screening of 5,715 entries. and, we have also announced 21 recipients of the GOOD DESIGN LONG LIFE DESIGN AWARD, which is given to products and projects that have been supported by the people over a long time.

GOOD DESIGN GOLD AWARD (Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award)
Highly evaluated by GOOD DESIGN AWARD jury members by the comprehensive points of view, such as the quality of the efforts for the solution of social issues or the potential for the future development.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [NEW BUSINESS DESIGN]
Outstanding design for the development of new business model, creation of new industry or promoter for innovation.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DESIGN OF TECHNIQUE & TRADITION]
Outstanding product design realized by the high level technology or technique.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DESIGN OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT]
Outstanding design for the continuous development of local community or economy activation.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DISASTER PREVENTION & RECOVERY DESIGN]
Outstanding design works for the prevention of and the recovery and the recovery from natural disasters.
