When Using the G Mark
Winning the GOOD DESIGN AWARD provides various benefits, among which the ability to use the G Mark, the symbol of the award, as a trademark is one of the significant advantages. G Mark can be used in all media, both domestic and international, including press releases, social media, and product packaging.






As indicated by the survey results, regardless of age or gender, about 80% of the consumers know about G Mark in Japan. It appeals to a wide range of consumers effectively. G Mark is also widely recognized internationally, especially in Asia, and can be utilized for global outreach.

Flow from Winning the Award to Using the G Mark
Usage During the Award Promotion Period
Entries that pass the second screening are considered “tentative winners.” After being selected as a tentative winner, you can start preparing for promotion using the G Mark. For about three weeks following the award announcement, winners can use the G Mark without application or fees during the “awarded PR period.”Award Promotion Preparation Period

The candidates of winner can download G Mark to prepare for award promotion.

From the award announcement to approximately 3 weeks after
G Mark can be used without application or usage fee.
About Annual Usage
After the award promotion period, to continue using the G Mark, an application must be submitted and a usage fee must be paid. Once the application for G Mark usage is completed, a one-year usage license can be obtained with a single application.G Mark usage application

About the G Mark Usage Fee
The G Mark usage fee is calculated based on the price or total project cost of the awarded work.
G Mark usage fee
The G Mark usage fee is basically calculated based on the retail price of the item. However, for items without retail price such as a civil engineering structure, it is calculated based on the total project cost.
