Outline

Potato Pirates is designed to teach learners, aged 6 and up, fundamental programming concepts without any digital screens or frustrating syntax. It covers over 10 hours of programming in just 30 minutes without any computers. More and more schools are starting to teach students programming but parents and educators are wary of prolonged screen time and lack of social interaction. As a card game, Potato Pirates is inexpensive, portable, easy to learn, and appeals to all ages. Players' learning experience is enhanced as it is a group-based game that encourages peer-to-peer learning.

Evaluation

A card game to teach children programming languages. Using analogue cards to learn a digital language is very interesting. It is well thought out as a program and useful as a doorway to learning language. It is a teaching material that allows children and even adults to enjoy learning without resistance.
