概要

VR9000H is a robot vacuum cleaner with strong suction power that does away with the previous method of sweeping. The Real Suction Robot Vacuum Cleaner is suitable for homes with carpets and will give satisfaction to users who did not fully trust the outcome of cleaning. The vacuum cleaner sports a dynamic design and adopts a visual representation of its powerful performance. It delivers an image as a friendly pet as well as reliable butler.

デザインコンセプト

We broke away from the conventional circular form and adopted a structure that enables top performance. We created a strong, dynamic image that reflects the product's high performance.

背景

There is continued growth in the premium vacuum cleaner market that targets double high income families in the top 30%. These families are always busy and become stressed out from housework. They have high expectations for robot vacuum cleaners, but are disappointed to find that robot vacuum cleaners do not clean as well as expected.

デザイナーの想い

A true 'luxury item' should be simple and faithfully fulfill fundamental roles, rather than featuring excessive decorations or fancy functions. Rather than including many elements that are hardly used, simply for the purpose of deceiving consumers, we wanted to create a 'robot vacuum cleaner that is truly like a vacuum cleaner' in that it moves the hearts of users even after long use.

企画・開発の意義

The large wheels are excellent for climbing over obstacles. Improvements were made so that the vacuum cleaner does not get stuck and can move around systematically. The vacuum cleaner features strong suction power. This is why it can easily handle carpet cleaning. The rapidly rotating cyclone inside the transparent dust bin provides clear feedback to the user.

創意工夫

Other robot vacuum cleaners get easily stuck. Their wheels continue to rotate even when the vacuum cleaners are stuck, resulting in various issues, such as a fire. As an alternative, the edge on the outskirts of a robot is made to be long so as to prevent vacuum cleaners from entering low-ceiling spaces. Also, one sensor (turret) is placed on the highest point on the set's front to feature the virtual guard function. To create a sharp, dynamic form, we aimed to have the brush to be in the lowest position possible. After several reviews, we arranged two turrets in a low position on both sides. We also attached an obstacle detection sensor that faces above so that the vacuum cleaner does not get stuck, while sporting an innovative form.
