Jun Nakagawa
Business Leader / Management Consultant | Representative, VISION to STRUCTURE and PARaDE
Born in 1974, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kyoto University and joined Fujitsu Limited in 2000. He moved to Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten Co., Ltd. in 2002, becoming its 13th president in 2008 and chairman in 2018. Under the vision “Revitalize Japanese crafts,” he established the craft industry’s first SPA business model while expanding into consulting and education, and stepped down as chairman in 2025. He now leads PARaDE, a collective of purpose-driven companies, and VISION to STRUCTURE, a vision-led management consulting firm, working to increase the number of “good companies” in society. His honors include the Porter Prize and the Excellence Award at the Japan Innovator Awards, and he is active in lecturing and writing on management and design, with publications including The Happy Relationship Between Management and Design and Working with a Vision.
Noriko Kawakami
Journalist | Associate Director, 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT
1986, Kawakami joined editorial dept of AXIS. 1994, she became freelance journalist. 2007, Associate Director of 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, where she directed the recent exhibition, “Learning from Design Maestros.” She has assisted in numerous exhibitions, including Japanese Design Today 100 (Japan Foundation, 2014-2023). She had also was co-curator extensively, including for "Japon Japonismes. Objets inspirés, 1867-2018" (Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, 2018). She is Guest Professor in Department of Industrial, Interior and Craft Design, and concurrently Lecturer in Department of Scenography, Display and Fashion Design, Musashino Art University. She is also Lecturer at Kuwasawa Design School. She is a member of the Board Directors of Tama Art University.
Gen Suzuki
Product Designer | Director, GEN SUZUKI STUDIO
Suzuki is a graduate of the Design Products programme at the Royal College of Art in the UK. After working at Panasonic and at the London and Boston offices of IDEO, he founded GEN SUZUKI STUDIO. With a studio integrated into his home, he pursues an approach that does not separate living from design, collaborating with both domestic and international companies including Herman Miller, MUJI, and OMRON. His work has received numerous design awards, including the IDEA Gold Award and the German Design Award Gold, and is part of the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. He serves as a Visiting Professor at Kanazawa College of Art, and as a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University and Musashino Art University. In 2023, he served as Jury President of the Product Design category at the D&AD Awards in the UK.
Yuma Harada
Designer | Representative, UMA /design farm
Born in Osaka. After graduating from Kyoto Seika University, he joined the 7th cohort of the Intermedium Research Institute, where he studied under artist Noboru Tsubaki. He founded UMA/design farm in 2007 and serves as Co-Representative of Dokusha. He holds visiting professorships at Akita University of Art, Kyoto City University of Arts, and Kyoto Seika University, and is Director of the Comprehensive Design Research Institute at Nagoya University of the Arts. Committed to fieldwork and direct engagement, his practice takes him across Japan. He is the author of One Day Esquisse: A Design Classroom for Finding New Perspectives.

Takashi Honda
Product Designer | Professor in the Department of Design, Aichi University of the Arts / Representative, Design Studio CRAC
After graduating Aichi University of the Arts and working at YAMAHA Corporation's Design Laboratory, Honda established Design Studio CRAC in 2000. He has been involved in product design for things such as audio products, furniture, household equipment and commodities. He received Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award, Good Design Award, etc. He completed a master's degree at IAMAS (Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences). He is Professor of Design in the Department of Design and Craft, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts.
Yoko Ando
Textile Designer and Coordinator | Representative, Yoko Ando Design
After working at NUNO Corporation, Ando founded Yoko Ando Design in 2011. She provides textiles for public facilities and private residences designed by many leading architects. Recent collaborative projects include Minna no Mori Gifu Media Cosmos and the EXPO Hall for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai (Toyo Ito & Associates, Architects), Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art (Jun Aoki & Associates and Tezzo Nishizawa Architects), and Shiroiya Hotel (Sou Fujimoto Architects). She serves as Visiting Professor at Nagoya Zokei University and Tama Art University. Her publications include Yoko Ando: Textiles, Space, and Architecture (LIXIL Publishing). In 2025, she received the Architectural Institute of Japan Cultural Award.
Masuko Unayama
Product designer / Space designer / Art director | SyuRo Co., Ltd. Representative Director and President
In 1999, he founded SyuRo Ltd. The company designs products and spaces for daily necessities in Japan and abroad, as well as directing shops, hotels and restaurants. In 2008, he opened a directly managed shop in Kuramae, Tokyo, contributing to the development of the Kuramae area. In recent years, he has opened SAMNICON in Miyota, Nagano Prefecture, a place where he can propose the next generation of recycling-oriented comfortable living and interior design. The company specialises in proposals that utilise materiality and space, and conveys total lifestyle design.
Masataka Nagahori
Industrial Designer | Senior General Manager, INTEGRATED DESIGN CENTER, MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATION
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1970. After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, he joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 1993. He has been primarily engaged in product design for home appliances, including refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, cooking appliances, and air-conditioning equipment. He has received numerous GOOD DESIGN AWARD honors. Since 2014, he has held a series of managerial positions and has served in his current role since 2023.

Kaori Akiyama
Product Designer | STUDIO BYCOLOR
Akiyama founded STUDIO BYCOLOR in 2013, a design office that effectively utilizes colors and materials. She graduated from the Department of Design Science of the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University in 2002, and worked for an office furniture manufacturer in Japan until 2012. She has won iF Design Award Gold, German Design Award, DFA Asian Design Gold Award, DIA Top100, Good Design Award and was also selected for LEXUS NEW TAKUMI PJ 2016. She is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Design Science of the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University and the Department of Engineering and Design of the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Hosei University.
Takayuki Inoue
Product Designer | Leader, LHT Design Center, Design＆Brand Japan, LIXIL Corporation
Born in 1973. He began his career at a design office, working on the product design of PCs and peripheral devices, home appliances, and information and communication equipment. He later worked as an in-house designer at a consumer goods manufacturer, where he was deeply involved in the entire development process from the early design stage onward. He joined LIXIL Corporation in 2015, serving as a leader of housing product design at the LHT Design Center, and currently serves as its Director. Through design practice spanning technology devices, consumer products, and residential environments, as well as design management within organizations, he promotes initiatives that shape new living experiences.
Masahiko Kimura

Kimura is President of GK Graphics Inc. and a Director of GK Design Group Inc. He works across corporate and municipal branding, product development, transportation design, and design education, with projects including the JR East signage system, the Utsunomiya LRT total design, the Marunouchi Hotel rebranding, and the Yamaha Motor Font (UI typeface). He has served as Chair of the Logo Jury for the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships and as a juror for the Golden Pin Design Award and The One Show Young Ones ADC. He is a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University. His awards include the Brunel Award, New York TDC Award, GOOD DESIGN AWARD Best 100 and Good Focus Award, JPDA Award Gold, and the Urban Landscape Award Grand Prize.
Keita Suzuki

Keita Suzuki, born in 1982, is the CEO of PRODUCT DESIGN CENTER. Influenced by his grandfather, a collector of antique art, he developed an interest in craftsmanship and culture from an early age. His work spans a wide range of fields, from everyday objects in museum collections to public projects including railway vehicles, as well as traditional crafts and materials development. By integrating aesthetic sensibility with functionality, he strives to create meaningful designs that will endure for 100 years to come, working with companies, brands, and public-sector organizations in Japan and abroad.

Yoko Yasunishi

Established DRILL DESIGN with Yusuke Hayashi. She creates designs in a number of categories centered on product design. She often participates in projects from art direction, material development, and technological development, and broadens new possibilities with clients in Japan and abroad. Awards she has received include the Red Dot Design Award, the German Design Award, the Good Design Special Award, and the Wallpaper* Design Award, among others.
Yohei Kuwano

Chiho Sasaki

Based on ethnographic research, Sasaki provides consultation on design covering various areas such as domestic and international health care, nursing care, community, mobility, resource protection, and city planning. Tadahito Ishibashi

Graduated from Chiba University's Department of Industrial Design in 1995. After working for a domestic electrical manufacturer and a business consulting company, founded IDL Co., Ltd. in 2005. Involved in design and consulting for domestic and international home appliances, information and communication equipment, furniture, and daily necessities. Selected as a designer for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's overseas dispatch program in 2010 and 2011. Yoshihito Katata

Osaka-born Yoshihito Katata founded KATATA YOSHIHITO DESIGN in 2014. Masaru Suzuki

Masaru Suzuki has led the fabric brand OTTAIPNU since 2004. In addition to his own label, he has created textile products for a wide range of domestic and international brands, including Marimekko, Camper, and UNIQLO. Beyond textiles, he works across diverse contexts such as graphic design, furniture, and architectural spaces, developing projects centered on pattern design and his original textiles. His monograph Masaru Suzuki no Textile was published by Seibundo Shinkosha. He is a professor at Tokyo Zokei University and a director of Unpiatto Co., Ltd.

She serves as Head of the Shopping Unit at enfactory inc. Maki Hirakawa

After graduating from Kanazawa College of Art, Hirakawa worked at a major comprehensive home appliance manufacturer, where she designed healthcare products, lighting fixtures, and other products. In 2001, she established HIRAKAWA DESIGN STUDIO. In addition to product exterior design, she engages in comprehensive product development, encompassing business planning and brand development. Grounded in her expertise in product design, she has expanded her activities to include design production for government agencies, aiming to create new value for businesses and society through design.
Miyuki Tamai
CMF Designer | CEO, FEEL GOOD CREATION Inc.
After working at Honda R&D Co., Ltd., she founded FEEL GOOD CREATION, Japan’s first company specializing in CMF design. She is widely recognized as a leading figure in strategic brand development and design consulting based on CMF (Color, Material, and Finish), working across diverse industries including mobility, architecture, and consumer electronics. She currently operates SENSE-Laboratory, a platform dedicated to the social implementation of sustainable materials. Rather than simply introducing materials, the initiative supports manufacturers from research and development through commercialization, leading projects from the perspective of sensory value and promoting new forms of manufacturing in which aesthetics and functionality coexist within a circular society.
Sosuke Nakabo

Sosuke Nakabo graduated in Product Design at Kyoto City University of Arts and in Design Products at The Royal College of Art for postgraduate studies. He worked at Panasonic (Osaka), MUJI (Tokyo) and Jasper Morrison’s office (London) and he opened an office in Kyoto. He also served as an associate professor at Kyoto Institute of Technology and as the Head of Design at MUJI and now a visiting professor at Kyoto City University of Arts. He is the recipient of multiple prestigious international awards, including the GOOD DESIGN AWARD, the iF Design Award, IDEA, the Red Dot Design Award, and the Design Anthology Awards.
Shin Nishibori

Born in Gifu, Japan in 1966. After working at Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic), he founded SHIN PRODUCTS Ltd., where he ran both a design practice and a café. He later moved to the United States to join Apple as an in-house designer. After ten years with the company, he established SHIN PRODUCTS LLC in the U.S. He currently resides in Hawaii.
Jidong Yang

Yang Jidong graduated in Industrial Design from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and received a Master of Industrial Design from the School of Design at Jiangnan University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Design at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology. He has extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently, he is Associate Dean and Associate Professor at the School of Creativity and Art, ShanghaiTech University, Vice President of the Shanghai Industrial Design Association. Kazushige Miyake

Kenta Ono

Hirotaka Tako
Chief Creative Director | ITOKI Corporation
Born in 1971. After majoring in spatial design at Chiba University, he worked at TOTO and Sony before becoming Chief Creative Director at ITOKI. During a decade-long posting in the UK, he led global product design and branding, as well as creative direction for events including the Salone del Mobile, London Design Festival, and 3days of design. He aims for distilled creativity that fuses objects and experiences, digital and physical. Recipient of numerous awards including the iF Design Award GOLD, Good Design Award Gold Prize, Red Dot Design Award Best of the Best, and Frame Awards.
Jae-han Jin
Industrial Designer | President, Gangwon Institute of Design Promotion
President Jae-han Jin of Gangwon Institute of Design Promotion led the successful bid to host the 2001 ICSID World Design Congress in Korea and was awarded the Order of Service Merit at the Korea Design Award for his contributions to enhancing the design and technological capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises. A former executive at Samsung Electronics, he is recognized for laying the foundation for Samsung’s design management. He established the design philosophy of “User-Centered Design for the Future” and developed the “Samsung Electronics Design Innovation Plan.” He is also credited with laying the groundwork for Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s declaration of the “Year of Design Innovation.” From 2004 to 2009, he founded and operated the Samsung China Design Research Institute in Shanghai, supporting the “Design Korea China” event to enhance Korea’s design competitiveness. Additionally, he established Samsung Electronics’ Product Design (PI) team and promoted Samsung’s design initiatives in Japan. Later, as a Design PD at the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology(KEIT), he planned and supported the "Design Innovation Capability Enhancement Project." His work contributed to strengthening the capabilities of design-specialized companies and improving the design performance of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.

Hiroaki Watanabe

He has been involved in manufacturing in various areas and scopes, both in Japan and internationally.
Hisato Ogata
Design Engineer | Director, Takram
A design engineer whose practice traverses the fields of design, engineering, art, and science. A graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Engineering, he leads a diverse range of projects at the design innovation firm Takram, spanning everything from tangible products to digital services. Notable works include the lunar exploration rover “HAKUTO” and the “Dynamic Equilibrium of Life” Signature Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. He is the author of Convivial Technology.
Tetsuya Konishi

Born in 1985. He completed his graduate studies at Chiba Institute of Technology and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering. After working at Panasonic, he became independent in 2014. He developed the myoelectric prosthetic hand “HACKberry” and made it open source. He has received numerous awards, including the iF Design Award Gold and the Good Design Gold Award. His representative works include the body-washing device “switle body,” the salt-reduction device “Electricsalt,” and the sports wheelchair “WF01TR.” He is engaged in a wide range of socially driven projects that address societal challenges by integrating technology seamlessly into the body and everyday life.
Shigeya Yasui

Yasui completed master program at University of Tsukuba in Design. After working as UI Designer at Sony Corporation's Creative Center, he has been a professor at Future University Hakodate since 2012. His research theme is UI Design. Award: Haptic Design Award 2016 Grand Prize.
Wan-Ru Chou
Industrial Designer | Associate Professor, Department of Industrial Design, Shih Chien University
She served as Dean of the College of Design at Shih Chien University (2016–2021) and Chair of the Department of Industrial and Product Design (1999–2011). She has served as a jury and review committee member for numerous government-sponsored design programs, including the Project for Assisting Traditional Industries in Technology Development and IDDI Category I (Design Service Industry), administered by the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. She has also served as a committee member for Brand Licensing and Collaborative Development at the National Palace Museum and for cultural and creative industry affairs at the National Museum of History. She has been invited as a guest professor at Hunan University, Huaqiao University, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Köln International School of Design, and FH Würzburg-Schweinfurt. Her writings have appeared in journals, magazines, newspapers, and books, and her design works have been exhibited internationally, including at Salone Satellite in Milan. She currently serves as a jury member of the Red Dot Design Award (Product Design) and has also been a juror for the Taiwan Excellence and the Golden Pin Design Award. She is a founding member of The Global Design Initiative (GDI), which has organized international design workshops annually since 2015, and received the MAU Fellowship from Musashino Art University in 2017.

Tamotsu Murakami

Murakami graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo in 1984, and the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo in 1989. Doctor of Engineering. In English, the term, “design” is used for both engineering design and industrial design. His areas of expertise are research and education on the mathematical methods and software/hardware technology that assist designers and give full scope to their originality and diversity to design (design by human) and create products that can provide new values to meet the users' needs, sensibilities and diversity (design for human).
Shigenori Asakura

With the principle "Designing for Authentic Ideas, Aesthetic Forms and Empathic Relations", he is active in the areas of industrial equipment, products for the public transit, and consumer products. Yoshiki Ishikawa
Public Health Researcher | Well-being for Planet Earth Foundation
Yoshiki earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Tokyo, a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health, and a PhD in Medicine from Jichi Medical School. As a public health researcher, entrepreneur, and science journalist, Yoshiki is working at the intersection of science, business, and government as a catalyst with the aim of advancing the well-being of society.
Ricca Tezuchi

After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School and working at Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Corporation) and IDEO Japan, established PROPELLER DESIGN in 2003. Momoko Kudo

Born in Tokyo. She spent part of her childhood in Switzerland. She graduated from the Department of Environmental Design at Tama Art University and, after working at an architectural design firm, completed a master’s degree in Terunobu Fujimori’s laboratory at Kogakuin University. In 2016, she founded MMA Inc. In addition to architectural design, she works across interior design and exhibition design. She served as a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University from 2020 to 2022 and has been a part-time lecturer at Kanazawa College of Art since 2024. Her awards include the Yamanashi Architectural Culture Award (Encouragement Prize), Forbes CULTURE-PRENEURS 30 (2025), the Red Dot Design Award, and the Good Design Award (2021).
Tomoya Tabuchi

Felix Conran

Noriko Hashida

After graduating from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, Hashida joined the TOTO Ltd. Design Center where she designed toilets, faucets, kitchen, and system baths, and became Design Director in 2005. Assumed the post of Professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology in 2008. In addition to household equipment, she has designed office furniture and living ware, and also promoted local industries, making proposals for new uses which fit with the times. She obtained her Doctor of Engineering in 2013.
Manabu Tago

After being involved in household appliances and information equipment at Toshiba, then taking part in the startup period of REALFLEET CO., LTD (current: amadana), a household appliances venture company, and being responsible for design management, Tago established MTDO Inc. Naoki Terada

Completed the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA School) diploma course in the UK in 1994. He has designed and built brands for a variety of products, architecture, and interior design. He founded Teradadesign Architects in 2003. He founded Terada Mokei in 2011. He opened Terada Mokei shop in 2013. Served as President and CEO of the Inter Office from 2018 to 2024.
Since 2026, he has served as Professor in the Department of Scenography, Faculty of Art and Design, Musashino Art University.
Kazuhiro Yamanaka

Kazuhiro Yamanaka is a designer whose work explores the relationship between objects and the spaces they inhabit. After studying design at the Royal College of Art in London, he founded Kazuhiro Yamanaka Office. Focusing primarily on lighting and furniture, he approaches objects as elements that shape spatial situations through form, light, material, and context. He has collaborated with international companies including Pallucco, Boffi, Ingo Maurer, and Ligne Roset, while also creating installations for museums and cultural institutions worldwide. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and has received numerous international awards. Maholo Uchida

Uchida worked at the Miraikan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation from 2002 to 2020, and works at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) as an overseas trainee for the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2005. She specializes in the combined field of art, technology, and design, and promotes art & science projects. She actively involved with introducing Japanese culture through technological innovation and robots. She has participated in the Barbican Centre (London), Milano Triennale, and Paris Cultural Center as a guest curator and commissioner. She serves as a planner and advisor for museums outside of Japan.
Masayuki Moriguchi

After working at Nikken Sekkei, he co-founded OFDA in 1998, and established Hiroyuki ITO Architects in 1999. He designs a wide range of buildings including apartment buildings, hotels and office buildings. His major works include hanaqumoi, Tenjincho Place, Mikumi-zaka Flat, Prism Inn Ogu, and Tatsumi Apartment House. Yuka Komada

Since 2000 she has co-led Komada Architects’ Office with Takeshi Komada. Yui Tezuka

After graduating from Musashi Institute of Technology, Tezuka studied at the University College of London, Bartlett School of Architecture. In 1994, she established TEZUKA ARCHITECTS with Takaharu Tezuka. Including Fuji Kindergarten, which was selected as the best school by the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) and UNESCO, she undertook many spatial design projects for children. She received the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture from UNESCO. The awards she has received in Japan include the AIJ Prize, JIA Award, Good Design Gold Award, and the Award of the Association for Children's Environment. She is the author of "Takaharu + Yui Tezuka: Architecture Catalog (1 to 3)." She has been a part-time lecturer at Toyo University since 1999, a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley in 2006, and a part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo since 2023.
Masahiro Harada

Mari Tochizawa

Born in Saitama in 1974. After completing graduate school at Tokyo University of Science, Tochizawa worked at Riken Yamamoto & Fieldshop. In 2008, she co-founded SALHAUS with Motoki Yasuhara and Masashi Hino. She works on creating public spaces/facilities through designing various types of buildings. Her major works include Kanazawa College of Art, Rikuzentakata Takata Higashi Junior High School, Moriguchi City Library, and Ofunato Fire Department Sumita Precinct. Tatsuya Hatori

Sachiko Morita

Kaori Ito

She leads the artist group Tokyo Picnic Club and is involved in creative projects for urban public space both internationally and domestically. She also leads Civic Pride Research Group. Osamu Nishida

Yuki Yamada

Xiaodi Zheng

Hisae Igarashi

Awards received include CS Design Award, Good Design Award, JID Award (Design category), Kukan Design Award, and Kids Design Award.
Chikara Ohno

Born in Osaka in 1976. Class-1 Architect. After studying urban engineering at Kanazawa University, he founded sinato Inc. in 2004. He designs a wide range of projects in Japan and abroad, from urban-scale developments such as the JR Shinjuku Station New South Area (concourses inside and outside the ticket gates, station plaza, and NEWoMan Shinjuku) to more intimate works including private residences and furniture. NEWoMan Takanawa, for which he was responsible for the overall facility design, is scheduled for completion in autumn 2025. He also serves as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto University of the Arts.
Shigeru Kubota

President of E&Y CO., LTD. Design editor. Matsuzawa produces domestic and overseas designers’ works, mainly furniture and products. Currently, E&Y has collected more than 50 pieces of artwork. He announced the collaborative edition with ZANOTTA in 2006 and released a new collection line of “edition HORIZONTAL- multiple collection line” at the Design Museum London in 2015. Some of their works are housed at MoMA NY, Design Museum London, Musee des Arts Decoratifs Paris, Sweden National Museum. He also serves as director and advisor for planning, editing, and curating domestic and international projects and exhibitions.
Shu-chang Kung

Shu-Chang Kung received his M.Arch (1992) and M.Des (1993) from GSD, Harvard University. In 1997 he founded AURA Architects & Associates in Taipei, leading the practice until 2009. From 2015 to 2019 he served as President of the Chinese Society of Interior Designers (CSID) and has remained actively involved in international design networks and professional organizations. His work has received numerous recognitions, including the Golden Pin Design Award – Best Design Achievement (2024), the Taipei Culture Award (2020), and the Outstanding Architect Award of Taiwan (2007). Since 2016, Kung has served as a jury member for major international design awards, including the GOOD DESIGN AWARD, Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, Golden Pin Design Award, and the Taiwan Interior Design Award. Alongside his academic and design practice, Kung has also played a significant curatorial role in major national exhibitions, including the Taichung World Flora Expo (2018), Taiwan Design Expo @ Hsinchu (2020) and New Taipei (2023), Creative Expo Taiwan (2021–2022), World Hakka Expo – Taiwan Pavilion (2023), and The Generation of Emancipatory Architecture in Taiwan (2024).

Daisuke Moriuchi
Designer | Director, NHK ART,Inc.
After joining NHK, Moriuchi worked as a designer on stage design and CG direction for television programs, exploring the possibilities of visual experience in public broadcasting. While seconded to an affiliated organization, he planned and produced experiential content in urban settings, including projection mapping at Tokyo Station. He later expanded his scope to corporate branding, program development, and sales strategy. Viewing design as structural planning, he has led cross-organizational strategy development and implementation. After serving as Director of the Design Center, Media Headquarters, he now oversees creative direction across broadcasting, events, and digital platforms. His major projects include the renewal of the NHK logo, stage design for Kohaku Uta Gassen, Tokyo Reborn, and AI Misora Hibari, which reconstructed Hibari Misora’s singing voice using AI. He has received the GOOD DESIGN GRAND AWARD.
Yoshiaki Irobe

Born 1974 in Chiba, Japan. Received M.F.A. degree from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Major works include branding for Osaka Metro and National Parks of Japan, furniture brand ""kettal,"" VI and sign design for Ichihara Lakeside Art Museum, sign design for Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and VI and sign design for Sukagawa Community Center. He has won several domestic and international design awards, including the Yusaku Kamekura Award, Tokyo ADC Award, SDA Grand Prize, Good Design Award, CS Design Award Grand Prix, JAGDA New Designer Award, and One Show Design Gold Pencil. He is a member of AGI, Japan Design Committee, Tokyo ADC, and JAGDA. Serving as the Art Director for the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Graduated from Royal College of Art MA Design Products, Grand Prize winner of WIRED Creative Hack Award 2023, a jury member of D&AD 2021, selected work for Japan Media Arts Festival 2021. Tomomi Sayuda was involved in exhibition experience and service design at FJORD London, a museum design company GSM project Dubai, and Bascule in Tokyo before acquiring her current position at The University of Tokyo. She has been involved in project direction and implementation of international design led science research projects centred on Citizen Science. She was a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore and a Lecturer at Musashino Art University.

Yuki Uchida
Urban Designer | Senior Director, Re:public Inc. / President, Futurama
Uchida graduated from Waseda University with a bachelors in Architecture and later received her masters in Sustainable City Design at Ferrara University in Italy. In 2013, she became a founding member of a Re:public Inc., which works with governments, companies, local citizens, and educational institutes to design innovation ecosystems with communities. She is also co-owner of A New Scale, an urban research collective. She conducts urban research activities with a focus on physicality, urban design, and art. Co-planned and edited the book "Ashiita no shigoto: Thinking with Asian Practitioners about Alternative Futures" (Kokuyo Co., Ltd.) She was appointed as a regional revitalization evangelist by the Cabinet Office in 2017.
Shogo Kishino

Born in Tokyo. In 2007, Kishino founded 6D, a graphic design studio. With a focus on visual identity for companies and products, he works across logo design, packaging, and environmental signage, and in recent years has also been involved in developing design systems across diverse fields. Recent projects include art direction for the Asahikawa City Design System, supervision of the rebranding of KOKUYO, the rebranding of Fujiya, and the logo design for NHK’s “100 Years of Broadcasting” project. He has been appointed Design Director of the Maebashi International Art Festival 2026, and in 2025 published his first book, “Rashisa” no Sekkei (lit. Designing Identity). Daisuke Sakamoto

Based in Higashiyoshino Village, Nara Prefecture, he planned and designed the village-run shared office and coworking facility “Office Camp Higashiyoshino” in 2015 and has since overseen its operation. Together with colleagues he met through the facility, he co-founded the rural design firm Office Camp LLC. “Magical Dagashiya Tyrol-Do” in Ikoma, Nara, which he led, received the Grand Award of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2022. In 2023, he co-launched LIVE DESIGN School, a learning platform exploring the future of design and regional communities.
Teppei Fujiwara

Born in 1975 in Yokohama. He has been working not only as an architect, but has also been engaged in design for community and industrial revitalization, crossing boundaries into various domains, such as art and the performing arts. His main works include “KURKKU FIELDS,” “Inamura House and Gardens,” “Yoyogi Terrace,” Nasu-Shiobara-shi machinaka interchange center “kururu,” and “Reborn-Art Festival 2017.” He has won the Culture and Arts Encouragement Award of the Yokohama Cultural Award, the Encouragement Award of the Japan Federation of Architects and Building Engineers Associations Award, etc. He was also a member of the steering, selection and exhibition committees of the UBE Biennale (International Sculpture Competition).
Oliver Lin

Oliver Lin is a Taiwanese design leader who has dedicated more than three decades to advancing Design in Taiwan and strengthening collaboration between the design sector and industry. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in bridging design, policy, and business, contributing to the long-term development of Taiwan’s design ecosystem. He has served as a juror for numerous international design awards, including the iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE, CII Design Excellence Awards, iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD, Big International Design Competition, K-Design Award, GOOD DESIGN AWARD, VMARK – Vietnam Design Awards, DEmark Award, and the VINFAST Creative Design Competition. His expertise is widely recognized across global design communities. Oliver Lin is also frequently invited to speak at international conferences and professional events, sharing insights on design policy, innovation, and cultural strategy. His speaking engagements have taken him to countries such as Colombia, Japan, Korea, India, and Thailand. He has led major national and international initiatives, including serving as the project lead for the Taiwan Pavilion of the 2023 HAKKA EXPO and directing the content planning of the TECH WORLD Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka. Currently, Oliver Lin focuses on shaping national design strategies, fostering design-driven innovation within enterprises, and strengthening Taiwan’s presence in the global design landscape. Through policy development, industry collaboration, and international engagement, he continues to contribute to a resilient and influential design ecosystem for Taiwan.

Miyuki Tanaka

Under the theme of “disability as a perspective for rethinking the world,” she plans and develops cross-disciplinary projects beyond conventional categories, reexamining how expression is perceived together with people with disabilities. Her recent work includes the film Night Cruising (2019); Dance Work in Progress with Creative Audio Descriptions (KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre and other venues, ongoing since 2017); the exhibition Rules? (21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, 2021); the exhibition Plurality of Narratives (Tokyo Shibuya Koendori Gallery, 2021); and the art project One Day (Cabinet Office Public–Private Partnership Platform for Regional Loneliness and Isolation Measures, 2025). In 2022, she was a visiting researcher at the Center for Disability Studies, New York University. Her publications include Accessibility for Whom?: Considering from the Experiences and Culture of People with Disabilities (Little More) and Rules? Book: Design for Creative Living (co-authored, Film Art).

Junya Kamada

Himari Saikawa

Saikawa is a co-founder of Tsubame Architects and an associate professor at Waseda University Art and Architecture School. Her activities are structured into two divisions: DESIGN, which focuses on spatial design, and LAB, which explores the framework before a space is established, as well as its use and development after completion through research. Her major works include BONUSTRACK (commercial facility, row house) and MORINOHA Office. She has received numerous awards, including the AIJ Young Architect Award for Selected Architectural Designs (2022), the SD Review Asakura Award (2022), and the Tokyo Architecture Grand Prize (2022). She is also the author of Tools for Living with Uncertainty.
