Outline

A house for a family of four: a potter, a cook, and their young children. The traditional style of the house, which originated as a farmhouse, had been extended and renovated several times, giving the space a cramped impression. The house was then restored to its original grandeur, and the floor plan was changed to fit a modern lifestyle. We conceived of a free and new form for the future home that would go beyond its function as a residence, becoming both a place of work and a gathering place for the community.
