Evaluation

Known for its unique and high-quality crafting and artistic expression activities, Shobu Gakuen has created a place where people with disabilities can live as they are, as well as promoting a place where they can be innovatively connected with others regardless of their disabilities. Amua-no-mori (Amua Forest) plays a role in spreading these activities by Shobu Gakuen to the local community. It is an attempt to reduce the distance between welfare, culture, and the local community, and the forest will be a place that makes us feel that all of them are inseparable and important factors in thinking about happiness in human society. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take some time until the forest project will be completed in every aspect, but we expect that it will be a pioneering case not only in disability welfare but also in cultural policy.
