A project which renews a defunct public elementary school in Kanoya City (Kagoshima) as lodging. With the concept: "both the people of Osumi and nature itself can teach us," this developed with the enthusiasm and active participation of local residents. While also serving as tourist exchange facility, this "experiential accommodation" promotes a celebration of "the daily life" in the Osumi area.
