Evaluation

MUJI's flagship store, which includes the long awaited MUJI HOTEL, has opened in one of the largest shopping districts in Japan. Starting with the produce section on the first floor, the flagship store takes on a bold challenge throughout the building with space design and merchandising on the upper-level retail floors as well as the hotel that captures the spirit and worldview of the brand in a simple yet sophisticated manner. It calls into question the significance of commercial space's existence in a realistic way. It is a highly global commercial facility that is conscious of visitors from other countries.
