At KIRISHIMA ECO FACTORY, by-products of shochu production, such as shochu lees and potato leavings are recycled to generate energy. Biogas generated by methane fermentation of by-products, is used for heat source and power generation in the factory. Some of the electricity is supplied to the region. By using 100% of the raw material sweet potatoes, we added value and realized zero emissions.
