According to a plan to maximize the floor space for rent, the tenant building near the Taimei-dori St. in Ginza will have a facade with emergency stairs, an elevator hall, an entrance and an evacuation balcony. We decided to form these four structures into one facade space having qualities similar to a veranda or porch, by shifting the structures from their conventional designs. Meanwhile, this building has been completed in the form of skeleton, similarly to general tenant buildings. With the concrete surface that can be seen both as a finishing and a bare structure, this unfinished building can continually be built along with changes in the town, with its porch space belonging to either of the street or the interior. We believe that this will lead to the design of the town.
