This is a 120-bed dialysis facility. Based on the concept "forest-bathing clinic", we aimed to design the clinic so that patients not only have their bodies cleansed, but can also find peace of mind. The dialysis room consists of series of pillars and beams of fire-resistant laminated lumber creating sense of being in a forest. Japanese Cyprus wood panels used on interior and exterior ceiling extend inside to outside, as well as providing warm scent. Lighting is installed along beams to decrease glare, and full air circulation rectifier units to reduce draughts for patients resting in beds.
