Outline

In order to facilitate more exchanges and resource sharing, locate and cover more outstanding architectural designs, and contribute and give back to the industry, House Arch initiated a book drive and a book exchange program. We interviewed architecture and design firms in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, and China and compiled a list of practice oriented books in foreign languages through our book exchange program, then provided an online borrowing mechanism through our website, APP and social media channels and promoted the establishment of a small-scale physical library.

Evaluation

It is a collaborative program that combines space, community, creativity, and marketing across national boundaries. It is a very innovative planning activity launched by a shared team of young people with common interests in knowledge and books on the community network and the real world together by cooperating with each other! This program not only constructs creative spaces for a series on browsing, exchanging and sharing in Taipei's historical space "Air Force Headquarter Park," but has also created diverse understanding and dialogue on thoughts about knowledge and the value of books across countries, cities, and specialized fields, and further actively built a sustainable network between different cultures through interviews with, and recommendations of, Taiwanese architects and designers.
