What LOVOT has pursued is not what conventional robot has in common, such as efficiency and convenience but to be able to feel the warmth and softness when you hug them and their adorable gestures that they do. This is the robot which gently tickles your sense of love, fills you with warmth and happiness and give you an energy to face your life ahead.

Evaluation

Rather than having a specific function, such as helping with the housework, this robot is intended to become one of the family as a presence that people want in their lives. Its behavior as it wanders around the room, its voice that responds without using language, and its adorable gaze all demonstrate the utmost in painstaking consideration during the design process and have been brought to fruition through the application of cutting-edge sensor and actuator technology. With growing psychological stress due to the novel coronavirus and isolation becoming a problem around the world, this product is socially meaningful, too.
