This paulownia wood bed folds away easily. Previously a winner in 2018, due to its outstanding performance, we could clearly see this year that it has evolved further in both function and design. In terms of function, the central structure has been redesigned, offering smoother, virtually silent opening and closing, and the curvature when in use has been improved. On the design side, each and every part has been painstakingly revised, resulting in a beautiful, neat appearance. We wanted to take this opportunity to express our high praise once more for this product’s key feature—the superb structure and design that enables this wooden bed to be folded with little effort—along with this most recent evolution in its design. As work styles and lifestyles change, leading to an increase in the amount of time spent at home, this could become an option that helps to make effective use of typically Japanese spaces.
