We converted a traditional town house "Machiya" in Nishijin,Kyoto to a town house coexisting with the residence and accommodation facilities for the family living in this house. A businessman rents out a part of a townhouse that exceeds 100 tsubo and has a large maintenance burden for one family and is rebuilt as an accommodation targeting a group of families and friends both at home and abroad due to external capital, It is possible to continue to live in this house only by burdening the renovation fee of the residence part of himself, and realizing to save the Machiya which forms the streets of Kyoto. Accommodation is revived as a shared space of the hotel as former street, preparing 3 rooms. I am aiming to experience life in the Machiya in Kyoto through space.
