Binoculars with image stabilization (IS) function for consumer use, perfect for bird-watching/nature observation, sports watching, etc. Users can enjoy observations comfortably, as these binoculars combat the problems of “arm fatigue” and “hand shaking” caused by extended usage. The hold shape and operation system layout were reexamined, and a design that fuses comfortable usability with high dimensionality was achieved. Shift-type IS technology that was cultivated through lenses for single-lens reflex cameras was adopted for the first time by Canon in these binoculars. There are two modes—regular “IS” mode for when tracking an observed subject, and “Powered IS” mode for dealing with slow, large movements caused by breathing, etc. during observations that focus on a single point.
