The Blue Sheet Tote Bag Project takes the blue tarps used as emergency roofing after the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquakes, washes them, and sews them into tote bags. The tote bags are sold online and at charity events, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to those affected by the earthquakes. Our aim is to take the blue tarps that stood as a symbol of the hardships caused by the earthquakes and transform them into a source of hope and positivity.
