Manga has the power to simplify complicated subjects and elicit readers' empathy towards the characters. Focusing on this aspect of manga, the project's expert committee has selected 200 works that provide a gateway to learning. These manga include those covering difficult topics such as LGBT, people with disabilities, and autism. The committee's recommendations are displayed in libraries across Japan. Engrossed in the story of manga, readers are unconsciously being introduced to new values. These experiences expand readers' intellectual curiosity and diversify their learning experiences.
