Outline

The "HAKURA" grave of "Choutoku-ji" has been designed for locating those graves that no one no longer takes care about, and for those who do not wish to have a grave. Located between the grave of "Shirose-ke" and the parking, the volume hides the surroundings generating an intimate atmosphere. "HAKURA" is composed of a worship-room, a crypt and a storage. The tapered and round-shaped crypt creates an infinity of white darkness. Worshipers can offer a flower on the alter, turn on the candles, and pray towards the characters of "na-mu-a-mi-da-bu-tsu" glowing dimly far.
