Jumping rope is a pretty solitary activity, so it can be a challenge to stay motivated. It also can easily be boring because the movement you make is basically simple repetition. As count number goes up more than hundreds, it is almost impossible to get an accurate count. We decided to create a new type of jumping rope that helps people get motivated and work out easy and effectively.
Smart rope is a product that does not exist yet, so we wanted it looks totally different from the usual jumping rope. The rope is coupled with the rotating parts by 45degree to make users rotate it without any movement of arms but only wrists. It also helps sensors count the rotation accurately.
We believe that jumping rope has clear benefits so we focused on maintain the benefits and turn its weaknesses into strengths by recreating user experience. Embedded LEDs show work out information that helps users concentrate on exercise and get motivated to the users while they are actually using it. The information that recorded in Smart Gym is sharable with SNS
Smart Rope and its own application Smart Gym use the count numbers as raw data and provides all different types of exercise mode. That was the reason why we need to make Smart Rope count accurately. We make Smart Rope with the sensors that count numbers when the ropes rotate exactly 360degree instead of simple vibration sensor from typical automatic counting jump rope. To provide POV effects on the exact spots, there are six sensors. Moreover, the rope is coupled with the rotating parts by 45degree and the rotating parts have two bearings each to help users rotate the rope only with their wrists.

줄넘기 몇개나 하는지 세어달라는 어린 아이를 둔 바쁜 부모들은 한번쯤 누구나 이런 줄넘기를 생각했던 적이 있을것이다. 드디어 아이디어가 3년차 작은 젊은이들이 모인 벤처기업에서 실제품으로 출시하였다. 줄넘기를 하는 다양한 방법을 앱을 통해 제공하며, 줄넘기를 혼자 하는것이 아니라 서로 격려하며 같이 공유하는 SNS 연동이 가능하다. 굳디자인란 이와 같이 제품을 통해 작은 아이디어로, 사람의 습관을 바꿀수 있는 제품에 큰 의의를 둔다. 縄跳びがいくつできたのか数えて欲しいとお願いする子供を持つ忙しい親なら、誰でも一度はこのような縄跳びがあればと思ったはずである。若手が集まった創業3年目のベンチャー企業で、ようやくこのようなアイデアが実際に商品化された。縄跳びをするさまざまな方法をアプリで提供し、縄跳びを一人でするのではなく、お互いに励まし合い、一緒に共有できるSNSの連動が可能である。このような製品を通じて、小さいアイデアで人の習慣を変えられる製品は大きな意義がある。
