Kego Park was faced with serious problems of deterioration in the security situation by sex offender and public nuisance. A redevelopment project of the park was implemented to resolve the problems. It led to the proposal of the park design creates a synergy effect of crime prevention and urban landscape architecture. The result was improved the security and increased the park visitors. In addition, the park design created good ripple effects on surrounding area such as adjacent building's renovation and sales growth related to Kego Park, and increase in Kego Shrine visitor.
