Tohoku Taberu Journal is the first "food-related monthly magazine" in the world founded to bridge the gap between local producers and consumers in cities, and to bring a continued relationship between the two. Each issue features enthusiastic producers in the Tohoku region, coming with real food that they have made as a supplement to be delivered to members' houses. The members post dishes cooked with the delivered food via the community on Facebook and the producers then make a comment after seeing them. In this way, the Taberu Journal has started an exchange between the two, and even exchange meetings have been held voluntarily to help with farm work, etc. The number of members has exceeded 1,000 and will also be issued in Shikoku, Hokkaido and Higashi Matsushima.
