This people transport support system for hospitals consists of a vehicle for carrying passengers, software for controlling operation of that vehicle and station terminals. The passengers reserve the vehicle at a station terminal and board the vehicle when it arrives. Driving operations are unnecessary as the vehicle automatically moves, although the destination can be set, routes changed during transport and the vehicle stopped from a touch panel on the vehicle. The system intends to reduce the physical and mental burden placed on patients, as well as the duty load of nursing staff.
