“Cycle Station TORIDE” is a multi-operational bike station with 490 bike racks and 456 machine-operated racks. Direct access to the train station by the pedestrian bridge creates the functional park & ride flow as well as urban space for various users. Combining machine-operated racks with normal racks maximizes space in the building for amenities such as rooftop open space and a locker room to be a new type of public space. This bike station is expected to be the city’s land mark by the symbolic storage and the beautiful movement of bikes storing vertically through the glass shafts.
