A forklift-type AGV optimized for pallet transfer. Automated transfer can be performed without conveyor and other equipment. Conventional AGVs which can travel only forward/rear could not access 2.4 m gangway width without rotation. However, this new forklift-type AGV achieved smooth access to racks arranged side by side due to all direction traveling and fork reach function. While traveling, the forklift-type AGV holds a pallet on its body. And, obstacle sensors are set for all directions. Thus, safety level was dramatically improved.
