Outline

New LAN system, in the form of a table runner that restricts airborne signals nearby. Unlike wired LAN equipment, this seamless solution eliminates the hassle of connecting cables. And unlike wireless LAN equipment, it keeps signals within a secure area to prevent unauthorized access that some wireless networks are susceptible to. No inconvenient wiring work is required. Installation is easy?simply replace your existing hub. Update your network by changing the LAN system in areas requiring this kind of device first.

Evaluation

The LAN Sheet allows use of a wireless LAN only within a range of 1 meter from itself, so it is a "second-generation communications system" that combines the advantages of first-generation cable-based communications and third-generation communication with wireless networks. While incorporating the flexibility of a wireless LAN, it solves the issues associated with radio wave interference and information leaks. This technology is so advanced and widely usable that one can anticipate it being adapted to such things as artificial skin for robots, floor and wall surfaces, and even clothing. The LAN Sheet's silver grid surface has a subtle futuristic feel, which makes it a suitable starting point for second-generation communications.
