- Outline
This is a condominium constructed in a quiet residential district dominated by single family homes and low-rise apartment buildings. A common feature of the six units is that the basic living 'infrastructure', the bath, toilet and kitchen, are located along the walls of the apartment that face the outside of the building. The purpose behind this arrangement was to maximize the convenience of the 'living environment' infrastructure. At the same time, the design makes the interior space more neutral, so that it can be used in a wider variety of ways. This 'infrastructure' allows for the production of a variety of different design effects through the interaction between the interior space and the surrounding environment.
