This new window is distinguished from the traditional 'almighty' Japanese sliding sash-type window by the accent it places on how it looks from the outside, and by its novel opening and closing mechanism. Viewed from the exterior of the house it is perfectly flat with no protruding edges or grooves, so it suits the needs of today's urban house designs, and its original opening and closing mechanism allows it be opened easily even in narrow or confined spaces. No longer is the consumer forced to simply choose a sash-- now he can take maximum advantage of the characteristics of the glass itself by selecting the features and functions that he requires of the windows in his house (energy efficiency, noise reduction, crime prevention, disaster prevention, etc.). This product is presently available only in patio door sizes, but there are plans to introduce other sizes in future.
