Evaluation

We often say "agriculture, forestry, and fisheries" together, but the problems of each industry vary. Forestry, in particular, faces difficulties in every respect, and it is necessary to devise new ideas and mechanisms. The recycling forestry launched by "Kitamoc", which runs a popular campsite in Kitakaruizawa, Gunma, has the potential to become a new light in forestry, which is prone to rely on government subsidies and aid. Kitamoc has introduced a wood splitter imported from overseas, as well as a biomass wood dryer that is fueled by scraps of firewood and building materials it manufactures. While utilizing idle forests, it manufactures high-quality firewood and building materials, and at the same time, makes the forestry sector profitable. In addition, it makes efforts to think about the future of mountainous areas from various perspectives, such as establishing a new corporate training facility "TAKIVIVA." Of course, the company is evaluated also for its continued efforts in conducting community-based activities for many years.
