This is a commercial model based on Fugaku, which made headlines when it was ranked the world’s top-performing supercomputer. As a next-generation supercomputer with a CPU based on the ARM architecture used in many smartphones, it offers a level of versatility not seen in conventionally highly purpose-specific machines. Accordingly, in an age of rapid change, it can respond flexibly to the needs of cutting-edge research and assist in resolving highly pressing social issues, so it is hoped that this supercomputer will have a huge impact worldwide.
