概要

The Cartridge is a model targeted to millennial and is the smallest, most affordable of our air purifiers covering 33m spaces. The cartridge is a design element with a unique lineup of various colors and a minimal form suitable for millennial's preferences. The unique combined filter structure simplifies product management so the product can be cared for more easily and hygienically.

背景

We designed an air purifier that would blend into various styles of spaces and that was affordable and practical to better suit the needs of millennial, the key targets, along with the trend of increasing numbers of 1-2 person households. We analyzed millennials' living spaces, consumption tendencies, and desired interior styles to design a compact product available in 3 colors to actively respond to interior color moods according to various preferences and emotions. Dove White, the default color, is a warm, gentle white tone that blends into various spaces with cozy interior lighting color temperatures. Users can choose Sage Green or Peony Pink for a more distinctive, natural, vintage, lovely mood.

経緯とその成果

The filter is fixed inside the front cover so it doesn't need to be separately removed to clean the interior, and the frequently cleaned pre-filter (once every 2-3 week) can be removed simply by pulling the upper right handle upward. It's designed so it can be hung on the front after washing to minimize little inconveniences. An LED lighting display effectively helps users care for their filters by notifying them when it's time to clean the filter or replace the dust filter. We increased interior structural efficiency with an upright cubic design to make a compact product for the millennial generation who live in relatively small spaces. We also cut costs and increased manufacturing efficiency by minimizing the number of design components to achieve an affordable price.
