What does it take to be a sommelier of Japanese Sake? Each Sake, Japanese rice wine, has each characteristic taste and flavor. Ordinary wine, made from grapes, has rich and distinctive flavor. On the other hand, Sake has much fainter flavor. But, as faint it is, the flavor of Sake is truly attractive. Delicious apple, La-France, melon, or to boot, whipping cream… Sake has many kinds of taste. Then, how can we explain such a faint flavor? Would there be words that can express savors properly? For those who want to know or use expressions of sake, we propose the Encyclopedia of taste of Sake.
