Outline: Smart Plate is an interlocked cloud Wi-Fi digital photo frame, which could be shared through a smart phone application. The magnet cover attached on the front is a cool display product made it to appear like a warm interior accessory and a furniture rather than a functional machine to bring people closer together. The front cover could be used as a display protection cover when not being used and it also could be used as a photo frame cradle while using it. And the product's setting could easily be changed & managed remotely through the sender's smart-phone.

Evaluation

The excellence of this product lies in how it introduces various ways to use it including connecting to a cloud service, or a terminal such as a smartphone or tablet, while still having all the conventional functions of a regular digital photo frame. The concept-making of using this device as a service, not only as a product, is innovative, and enables you to offer it as a service to those that are digitally weak such as the elderly. Although there was an idea that large enterprises have led the field of digital appliances/devices, a design studio/small to medium-sized enterprise has launched this product from a new perspective, for which it is highly appreciated.
