The Toyota Group used the International Exposition held in Japan in 2005 (EXPO 2005 AICHI JAPAN) as an opportunity to develop exhibitions on the theme of how to reduce the impact of mobility on the environment, and how mobility can enrich human society. The Toyota pavilion featured futuristic concept cars, show performances by robots, and displays of the latest technology. The Toyota Group introduced some of the specific measures it is implementing to help overcome the global environmental challenges faced by humanity today, and to promote the development of a society in which people all over the world will be able to share equally in the benefits conferred by mobility. Its pavilion was designed to present trends and concepts leading to a "Bright and Rich Society" in the 21st century.
