This exhibition introduces "Japan Design " in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Good Design Awards. The exhibition consists of "Fifty years of the Good Design Awards" and "Design Activities of Japanese Companies".
Fifty Years of the Good Design Award
At the exhibition hall, it will show the fifty year history of the Good Design Award with photographs and the past awarded items that are historical masterpieces. Also, it will be introduced in a projection room by displaying interviews with the award winners of "Best 15" 2005 and Juries.
Design Activities of Japanese Companies
Twenty Japanese leading companies will show their design philosophies, visions and activities that are examined from various perspectives centering around the Good Design Award winning items.

The "Good Design Award (G-mark system)" is Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system.
Having achieved to build a foundation to nurture the industry and design of Japan, many participation from every country in the world have been joining this award as a synthetic design evaluation system, and the awarded designs count more than 30,000 items over 50 years.
The Award has a wide range of subject today. Shifting from conventional areas such as product design, communication design, and architecture &environment to experimental design in new fields, the Award is leading today's world of design.
