Understanding and support from consumers are necessary for Good Design Awards.
We ask consumers to "participate" through Good Design Award website and Good Design Expo.

  • Comment on entries that passed first screening with "support message"
  • Leave review comment at "Good Design Expo"
  • Comment on Good Design Award Grand Award nominated entries with "support message"

Messages from consumers are made public in principle as well as provided to judges, applicants, and designers.

Searching Good Design Awards

FinderGood Design Awards website is disclosing all awarded entries of 53 years.
From 2000, description of awarded entries, comments from designer in charge, reason of winning award from judging committee can be searched and viewed as well as images, specification, company name, and designer name.

This database is designed to utilize Good Design Awards application/screening data as a public asset of design in Japan. It is aimed at becoming a database that makes future life by adding consumer's message etc.
