For designers and members of the public

JIDPO is actively engaged in disseminating information to designers and members of the public, so that you too can participate in the Good Design Awards program. The Good Design Presentation every August, in which the venue for the second screening is opened to the public, offers an opportunity to get to know contemporary design by means of actual products and other exhibits. The Good Design Awards Website now hosts a database containing details of every winner since the program's inception, searchable by company name, designer name, and other keywords. For winners from 2004 onwards it is now also possible to view all simultaneously the outline of the entry and the designer's ideas about it, its evaluation by the jury, and comments from users.

Through such active dissemination of information, the Good Design Awards program aims to increase the design consciousness of members of the public.

Publication on the Internet of entries passing the first screening

The names of entries that have passed the first screening will be published on the Good Design Awards Website for a limited time period.

General availability of information through Good Design Finder

FinderGood Design Finder, a database of information on all the winning entries during the 48 years since the program was launched, is open for general use. Information on winners will be added to Good Design Finder on October 3. Evaluations by the jury and comments from users and members of the public may also be viewed.

Good Design Presentation (GDP)

The Good Design Presentation (GDP), at which the venue for the second screening is opened to the public, is held at Tokyo Big Sight. Publication of Good Design Yearbook

YearbookJIDPO publishes the Good Design Yearbook, which features information on all the winners of that year's Good Design Awards, including the Grand Prize and Gold Prize winners. Available at major bookstores throughout Japan.
