Generally speaking, a developer’s involvement with a district ends once it has sold all the properties that it has developed there. The idea for this store project overturns that concept and gives the developer a new raison d'être as a business operator. We can imagine that this bakery is the backbone of the community, functioning as a place for interaction and enriching the daily lives of the people who live in this place which, though slightly inconveniently located, is endowed with a beautiful natural environment. Another reason why we rated this project so highly was that this arbor-like building, which eliminates all sense of front and back directionality, generously accommodates a changing assortment of content under its roof and serves as a landmark for the district.
