概要

ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first fully functional laptop with a folding OLED display. As it morphs through multiple modes, from a compact sketch book size into a fully flat 13.3-inch display. The system holds a stylus and Bluetooth keyboard that is stored and charged in the device. The folio has a kickstand for full screen mode. The device can be used in laptop, book , or tablet modes.

背景

Humans are becoming more and more mobile as technology and the world advances; therefore, there is a demand for thinner, more compact productive devices. By leveraging the flexible OLED technology, we were able to create a product that packs the productivity needed for a diverse range of users. The flexibility from work to life is becoming even more important. The goal of the ThinkPad X1 Fold was to provide a system that gave the user all the tools they needed to be highly productive, creative, and/or entertained in one small book sized footprint allowing for extreme mobility and productivity.

ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first fully functional laptop with a folding OLED display. It morphs through multiple modes, from a compact sketch book size into a 13.3-inch display. Built from a combination of lightweight alloys and bound in authentic leather, it offers the durability/reliability expected from ThinkPad. The system accommodates a stylus and Bluetooth keyboard that is stored and inductively charged in the device. The folio has a kickstand for desktop mode. It can a mini laptop with the tactile keyboard, book mode by simply opening it as a book, or tablet mode by opening the device fully. The system has a smart display with notifications and Cortana interface. With a diverse range of usability, the Fold was designed with great attention to detail and seamless user interaction.
