To realize the area's very own "garden city", the scheme connects with the surroundings by integrating what were two plots of land separated by a former waterway, together with pleasant walkways around the surrounding public green belt. The result is to create a borderless landscaped corridor connecting the publicly and privately owned lands. Along with the adjacent public reserves, private trees and bamboo groves are found around the residential development. These complement the natural greenery that survived the post-war urbanization of the area and remains to the present day as a “green legacy” that reinforces the green network. Thus the plan extends beyond the private domain of the project and aims to create an expansive "garden city" as a model for progressive, eco-friendly living.
