‘la kagu’ is a renovated retail facility. The original building was built as a book storage in 1969. To reconnect the long lost connection of the town and facility, a wide and topological wooden stair has been placed. The storage area has been renovated to integrate the advantages of its structural beauty. Spatial composition of the building was planned, under one large roof space, to coexist several functions. Recognizing the charm of aged design of the original storage and unique topology of Kagurazaka this renovation resulted to emphasize the existing potential of the site.
