概要

"TAHITI" is a home screen theme that provides wallpaper and widget that Fits with the Color of the appearance of each organization, allowing the users to feel the sense of unity between the HW and GUI. A new sense of theme was developed, with "water" as the common matter, by associating the emotions of cleanliness/cheerfulness/pureness, each corresponding to the colors of Blue/Pink/White. By adding values to the colors in the market of various phones, we intended to stimulate the purchase desire of the consumers through strong impression, and furthermore satisfy their emotional needs.

デザインコンセプト

In a consistent concept such as "water", we created a home screen theme that gives a feeling of unity with the 3 types of product colors to provide users with differentiated image and emotion.

背景

In the market where competitive products are being released, consumers consider the quality and functions of the products to be similar. To attract the attention of the consumers in such environment, we needed to provide a sensuous experience that differentiates from other products. Thus we provided "TAHITI" theme that is specialized in colors to satisfy the emotional needs of the users.

デザイナーの想い

By designing the "TAHITI" home screen theme through the consistent tone & manner as the product appearance, we wanted to give an impression of a complete product through the organic unity of the exterior and interior.

企画・開発の意義

"TAHITI" that unites the exterior and interior of the product, through beauty and the fun of usability adjusts to the consumers' preferences and allows them to have a sense of pride and possession, and provide an emotional bond between them and the design.

創意工夫

We concentrated in shaping the image so emotions corresponding to each of the color can be displayed within the common matter, "water". Firstly, we were careful in extracting the emotional keywords from each of the color. We established a keyword that many could sympathize with, and visualized this keyword by relating it with water. This was produced through many photo compositions, but the difficulty of displaying an imaginary image was extreme. However, through endless trial and error, we were able to display as we intended, the 'coolness/feeling of refreshment' as a wavy water image in Blue theme, the 'liveliness/cheerfulness' as an actively bouncing image in Pink theme, and the 'pureness/cleanness' as the delicate image of inner water in White theme.
