背景

To keep the value of used notebooks, we develop a folding technique "origami", to transform note books into a piece of art. At the same time, by using different method to fold notebooks, the various stories written down could also appear through different patterns

デザインコンセプト

Note books can be treated as a artistic item to beautify our environment and enhance the quality in daily life. Consumers can have a chance to create their own art contains their life draft.

企画・開発の意義

For most of us, we throw away or preserve an used notebook. Consequently, we hope to keep the value of the notebook forever by using different way to design this notebook. Therefore, we develop a non-destructive way to fold the book leaves and turn the normal notebook into a work of art meanwhile preserving all the content inside.

創意工夫

From either the printing/cutting to binding, the inaccuracy will cause deformed patterns. For solving this inaccuracy, we wrote a computer program to accurately locate every folding line on each leaf before the book binding. We use the untraditional binding and printing techniques to make finished-folding patterns perfectly appear.

デザイナーの想い

We integrate the idea of recycling when starting to develop this product. For maintaining our environment, we are not trying to decrease the value of recycling, but really increase the product life along our new design concept. In the end, the production can become a memory connection with consumers
