概要

The screen has been designed with Graphic Style using life-like metaphor so that beginners to a smart refrigerator can feel at ease instead of being overwhelmed. the design contains interactive feedback under the theme of "Nature,"such as sunlight and wind, to evoke warmth and sensibility instead of coldness and complexity. The “food management” functionality has been improved to ensure the freshness of the food in the fridge while applying familiar,comfortable graphics for introducing the LG-specific function that lets users view the food and ingredients inside the fridge even away from home.

「身体・人間」の視点からみて、応募対象が提供できること

With a more intuitive, efficient interface, we sought to contribute to the healthcare of the user's family by providing not just a menu optimized to the current psychological conditions of family members but also diverse management functions to ensure the freshness of food.

「生活」の視点からみて、応募対象が提供できること

Functions based on new concepts have been added to suggest more convenient and "smart" kitchen and family lifestyle. The user can add new food information by scanning a receipt from the store and even check what's inside the fridge without opening the door to prevent repeated food purchase and ensure the freshness of the food. All the information can be linked with photos.

「産業」の視点からみて、応募対象が提供できること

By going beyond the convention of “Freshness Box,” we aim to play a leading role in the ecosystem of refrigerator that suits the age of ubiquity. The new age of smart appliances has been realized by suggesting the methodology that minimizes efforts of the user: automatically recording information on newly stored food, checking the amount of old food, and ordering directly from the fridge.

Functions such as inside sensing and expiry alarm ensure the freshness of food and minimize food wastage. Sustainable functions such as smart power saving and energy consumption monitoring also help save power and reduce the carbon footprint.

ユーザー・社会に伝えたいこと

We sought to make general chores in the kitchen -from shopping to food management and cooking–easier and came up with the new concept of smart fridge that offers intelligent kitchen life.Users will be able to embrace the new kitchen life concept without much difficulty thanks to the natural appearance of the interface with comfortable metaphor that leaves the old concept of “Freshness Box” behind.

家電の複雑かつ多様な機能を、スマートフォンの豊かな情報表現能力を使うことにより、より分かりやすく操作しやすいものにしようとする試みである。同時に、ネットワークとの直結により機器の不具合に対する自己診断も可能としており、家電の今後のインタフェースのあり方を示唆するデザインである。冷蔵庫における食品管理意識をユーザに促すものとなっており、生活ニーズと技術シーズのマッチングがバランスよく取られている。
