概要

E Ward round Record (EWR) is a tablet app for medical nursing routines. It automatically records and uploads a patient’s physiological data (i.e. temperature, blood pressure), synchronizes to the hospital’s cloud system, and significantly reduces the time required for record handover between medical health professionals. EWR’s clear and well structured interface with intergrated information allow quicker medical decisions, eliminates the time-consuming and often complicated paperwork, enables all nursing staff to spend more time on patient care and developing better interaction with patients.

A different facility integration and platform development: to eliminate the waste of paper resource and time from paperwork, EWR must combine interfaces of transfer between facilities and the app, while creating a cloud platform for backups, so that all data can be automatically transferred to the hospital’s server, and ultimately increase the efficiency of the whole nursing system.

EWR replaces the traditional handwriting method. Using wireless transfers, it links all measuring systems together to receive information, automatically record and cloud uploading feature - it eliminates the usual two-step procedure for recording medical reports: writing the data by hand and re-type everything onto the computer - the app therefore increases work efficiency and reduces stress.

When nurses have less stress from work pressure alleviated thanks to the help from EWR, they will have more time and energy to care for the patient, so the latter may receive a better, more wholesome medical care service.

Increase work efficiency and decrease stress from work pressure, which in turn improves the overall system of the medical care service. Patients will also be happier to choose to be treated in hospitals that give better care.

EWR will increase the nursing staff’s work efficiency. It helps lower the nurse-patient ratio and avoid staff shortage, which is sometimes the cause for mortality rate due to some patients being unable to receive the timely medical attention. Avoiding this problem can therefore give every patient the adequate medical care, and help them lead their lives in a healthy social environment.

The global shortage of nursing staff is not only the reason that patients can’t receive timely medical care, the staffs also suffer from work overload. We hope for EWR to increase efficiency through its features, that it can help keeping the staff, lower the nurse-patient ratio, improve medical service quality, and eventually lower mortality rate caused by untimely and inadequate medical care.
